Volunteer Week 2016

Thank you to the hundreds of amazing volunteers that are essential to Butterwick Hospice

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK. And this year, because Volunteers are so important, we're making it even longer!

Volunteers' "week" is taking place every day between 1st June-12th June and the extra five days will enable even more people to take part!

The week can also be used to encourage others to join Butterwick Hospice as a volunteer. Volunteering is a two way street. Not only is it rewarding to give time for a great cause, but there are so many skills you can pick up! Volunteering can help to develop self-confidence, work skills, knowledge, team working and social skills.  Experience as a volunteer looks good on your CV and impresses prospective employers because it shows you are responsible, committed and you care.

Butterwick has plenty of volunteer roles for you to sink your teeth in, so why not check them out?
