Donations in Lieu

Many people celebrating a milestone birthday, anniversary or retirement have more than enough ornaments and mementoes and don’t want to receive physical gifts from their family, friends and colleagues. Why not ask them to make a special celebratory donation to Butterwick Hospice Care to mark your special occasion. That way, your celebration will leave a lasting gift to our patients, ensuring that they receive the highest quality of loving care when they need us most.

Whether you’re having a quiet cuppa at home with close family or a full-on party please let us know what we can do to help! We will have a dedicated fundraiser who has a wealth of ideas and experience work with you and support you all the way to help you celebrate.

There are many ways in which your guests can give a celebratory gift. They can give at your party using the personalised envelope; if you wish we can supply a free post address so donations can come directly to Butterwick Hospice Care or we can help you to set up an online giving page, so if guests are unable to attend your party, they can still give!
After your special day, we will let you know the total donations we received in lieu of celebratory gifts for your special day and will also thank your guests (if we have their contact details) for supporting Butterwick Hospice Care.

Many people will thank you for supporting Butterwick Hospice in this special way; many more won’t have the opportunity to do so; but it will be their families, and the patients and families to come (who may be your own family, friends, colleagues and neighbours) that will be grateful for the funding your generous gesture has provided.
