Butterwick Hospice Care currently runs 14 shops across the north east. Sales from these shops bring in around 16% of the annual cost of running all of our services all over the region which help care for life-limited children and adults.
We are looking for enthusiastic Retail Assistants to help us maintain our excellent retail reputation in our shops.
Your role as a retail assistant will include serving customers in a friendly and polite manner, accepting and sorting through donations, preparing items for sale, displaying merchandise, rotating stock and general up-keep of the store including housekeeping roles such as cleaning. You will also answer the telephone and take enquiries as well as handle cash as part of sales and ensure accurate record keeping.
Working for Butterwick Retail is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience of working with the public and learning new sales skills and enhancing exisitng communication skills.
You will be of smart appearance, polite, courteous, enthusiastic and reliable. Shifts for our shops is based on one half day shift per week, unless arranged otherwise with the shop manager.
