Butterwick Hospice Care currently has a Capital Appeal running called the ‘Put Your Foot In It’ Campaign. It is an appeal to raise the money to build a new Family Support & Complementary Therapy Centre next to the adult and children's hospice in Stockton.
The new Centre will enable the counsellors and therapists to offer much more comfort and reassurance to patients and their families. The building will house dedicated rooms for family support, bereavement counselling and therapy for children and adults with life limiting illnesses, a specialised play area for child counselling and a group therapy room which will double up as a teaching facility. As well as these vital resources other facilities will include a medical reference library/resource room.
The campaign needs to raise £687,901 to allow the building work to commence. We are currently half way towards that target and we appeal to everyone who is interested in helping to raise the money we need to go to the Put Your Foot In It website where donations specifically for the appeal can be made on line through Justgiving.
How you can help
In collaboration with Newsquest and the Northern Echo a website www.putyourfootinit.org.uk has been created which depicts the footprint of the new building. The new building will be 5,400 square feet in total and we are asking local businesses and individuals tohelp us achieve our target by literally ‘putting their foot in it’ by sponsoring a square foot or more.
Each square foot may be sponsored for just £20.
Businesses sponsoring 4 square feet or more will be eligible to place their company logo, website address and a sales message of up to 50 words on the square feet they have sponsored. This is a highly cost effective method of advertising your company's support which will reach a wide audience of Butterwick supporters. Individuals wishing to sponsor a square foot or more may do so in a variety of ways:
Via a personal donation.
Raising sponsorship through various sponsored activities at your place of work.
Gaining support from your friends and family.
Once we have received your donation, your name and a personal message of your choice will be uploaded and placed on the square foot (or feet) you have sponsored.
All business and individual contributors will be acknowledged in the ‘Roll of Honour’ which is displayed on the ‘Put Your Foot In It’ website. This information will subsequently feature as a permanent fixture in the main reception area of the new building upon its completion.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
On-line www.putyourfootinit.org.uk Select the required number of square feet and input your personal message. Facility to pay on-line available.
Telephone – Telephone your debit/credit card details through to the Capital Appeal Campaign Team (contact details noted below) along with the number of square feet required and your personal message.
Cheque – Cheques should be made payable to Butterwick Hospice Care and mailed to the address noted below. This should be accompanied with a letter stating clearly that it is for the Capital Appeal Campaign and include details of the number of square feet required along with your personalmessage.
