Butterwick Hospice in partnership with the MuchLoved charity website are helping grieving relatives to create interactive online memorials to their lost loved ones.
Through MuchLoved you can build personal web pages featuring biographies, photographs, videos and even tracks of music free of charge.
Your memorial pages can be public or private or restricted to those given permission to view them. Those given permission can add their own memories and photographs etc to build a bigger picture of the person. Memorials can also be used to raise raise funds for a chosen charity.
Butterwick is one of the official partners of MuchLoved and is offering help to bereaved relatives to create pages to build biographies, tributes and to raise funds in memory of their loved ones.
Colin Pearce from Sedgefield, County Durham, and his sons Jamie, Chris and Robert have made a memorial to wife and mum Carole, who died in 2010 aged just 50.
Colin said: "It has been quite therapeutic and has helped us to grieve. She was a very popular figure in Sedgefield. She worked in one of the local shops and everyone knew her for her smile - she was always smiling."
Jamie added: "It is nice that other people can add things. I have found out stories about my mum that I didn't know. It is good that you can keep on adding photographs and tributes to the page."
Hospice fundraiser, Scott Marshall, is offering help to anyone who would like to create a memorium to someone they have lost. He explained: "A tribute like this provides great comfort to people who have lost loved ones."
