Fundraising Volunteers

Many hands make well run events. If you would like to lend a hand at a Butterwick event please get in touch.

Volunteering for a fundraising event is a valuable way of helping the Hospice. Many of the events we organise are large and need many hands to make them run smoothly.

Please see the list of current events that we need volunteer help at and if you can lend a hand to the Hospice please contact the person who is organising that event. Their name, telephone number and email address will be included in the event information.

There are other ways in which volunteers help the Hospice through fundraising initiatives. We have categorised our fundraising volunteers simply by way of demonstrating what many do to support Butterwick. We hope this information helps you to decide what you would like to do. Be assured that if you intend to organise your own event we will be happy to assist you in whatever way we can.

Could you spare some time to help raise money for Butterwick Hospice? We’re looking for people of all ages, and from all areas, to take up a wide range of opportunities. Volunteering with us allows you to make a real difference to the hospice while also meeting new people, learning valuable skills and building self confidence.

Could you

Help out now and again at fundraising events or help to distribute posters and information about the hospice.

Organise a fundraising event in your community, with support from the Hospice, perhaps at your local pub or club.

Recruit participants in Hospice events like the Midnight Walk or annual ball.

Make a regular weekly commitment and look after an area of fundraising for the Hospice like income from recycling, collecting boxes or selling our Butterwick Scratch Cards (see the Butterwick Lottery section for more information).

If you are interested in any of these opportunities please contact Diane Williamson, Fundraising Manager on 01642 628 930 or email dianewilliamson@butterwick.org.uk
