Middlesbrough Football Clubhave been firm supporters of Butterwick House Children's Hospice for several years. This year Hospices nationwide are being supported as the chosen charity of The Football League and we are delighted to know that Middlesbrough FC has been twinned with Butterwick House through this fundraising adoption.

The Football League was formed with 12 founder members in 1888, The Football League is the world's original league football competition and has been used as a template that leagues around the world has used as an example.

Last years domestic broadcast deal with the BBC and Sky Sports estimated that 18 million people would watch the League on TV. This is a fantastic opportunity for Butterwick House to be noticed by people who know nothing about the children's hospice and how important its services are to those families who benefit from it.

So what are the club planning to do to help the children's hospice and how can you get involved?

The next big opportunity where you can really make a difference will be at the game on 10th December. There will be a bucket collection at the match in aid of Butterwick House Children's Hospice and Teesside Hospice.

Please take part and add as much as you can to the bucket collection on that day. If everyone at the match takes part and donates a little that will add up to a huge benefit for people young and old in this area who are in need of hospice care.

On 20th December Middlesbrough Football Clubare holding their Golden Ticket Party at the club and they have offered 4 tickets for children from Butterwick House to attend this wonderful day.

We hope you will join with Middlesbrough Football Club in supporting your local children's hospice, Butterwick House.
