To everyone at Butterwick's Stockton Day Care, just to say thank you all for a year of lovely Wednesdays.
I am so pleased that I decided to come after a lot of thought. With being in hospital and then housebound I had lost all of my confidence and was dreading meeting people again, especially strangers.
You all made me so welcome and meeting all the other lovely patients who are going through the same thing made me feel I could enjoy some kind of social life again.
The support has been fantastic. No matter who I needed to see, eg. physios, stoma nurses, district nurses and help with aids the Butterwick arranged it all.
Not to mention the wonderful therapies and crafts which I thoroughly enjoy. I love the services provided in the chapel, especially by Mary. They bring me a lot of comfort.
I have had good and bad times throughout the year and I don't think I'd have got through it without you. Especially the respite care that was arranged. That was the lowest ebb I have ever reached in my life and I felt ready to give up but it helped so much.
I am now feeling good and positive again. Thanks to you all I am enjoying some quality life. You are angels.
