Andrea's Story

"Dad felt safe at Butterwick. We walked into a place where angels work. They wrapped us all in their special care."

"I was very close to my Dad and wanted to be with him. At Butterwick I got to spend the time I needed."

"Dad was treated with respect and dignity. The environment in hospital doesn't allow you to be a family and be yourself. If we hadn't come to Butterwick I believe I wouldn't be the person I am today."

Andrea's told us her Dad, Robert, was a very special person who would do anything for anybody. Andrea got a team of friends together this year to celebrate Robert's life.

Team Bobkins joined over 600 women and girls walking in memory or in support of Butterwick Hospice.

Andrea said: "The whole team had a brilliant night and we plan to do the same again next year and are already planning the outfits!"
