Butterwick House offers a very warm welcome to babies, children, teenagers and their families who come to receive excellent support from the care team. Some children come for the day, many children come for a short break either by themselves or with their families.
While visiting Butterwick House there are lots of fun things for children and young people to do such as playing games, computers, arts and crafts and using the special hydrotherpay pool. Young people can just chill out, perhaps in the multi-sensory room or for more excitement they can go on exciting trips out on our specially adapted bus.
The care team comprises of Registered Sick Children's Nurses (RSCNs) nursery nurses, health care assistants and trained volunteers. They are here to make sure our young visitors are well cared for, feel happy, safe, are listened to and have fun.
They are also here to support the children's families and that includes everyone. Mums, Dads, Brothers, Sisters, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles are all welcome to come to the hospice if they need support or to see what fun the children are having when they come to stay.
