The Stockton Day Care service caters for up to 20 patients per day, Tuesday to Friday each week. Friday is our young persons' day when younger patients, aged between 18 and 50, enjoy the opportunity to get together.
Day Care provides an opportunity to talk to the specialist clinical team for help and advice with symptom management.
It is also a great opportunity to meet people with similar challenges. This helps to alleviate fears and feelings of isolation. Day Care is an infomal social environment where you can chat, meet new friends, get help and advice for yourself and your loved ones and participate in lots of beneficial activities and treatments.
Complementary therapies are provided as an integral part of patient care. These therapies are administered by qualified and experienced practitioners. Complementary therapies help to relieve symptoms such as pain, stress or anxiety.
A physiotherapist attends the Day Care facility to help with mobility issues.
Several creative therapies are also provided which are very popular with patients attending Day Care. Our volunteer creative therapists help patients to develop crafts and artistic skills and projects.
