Local Choir Create Sweet Harmonies for Hospice

Fundraising events in aid of Butterwick Hospice Care always go well when the people participating in the event really enjoy what they do.

A local choral society proved how well this theory worked when they raised a very welcome donation to the care provided by Butterwick House to young people and their families across the region.

Billingham Choral Society raised £516.17 from their Christmas events for Butterwick House Hospice for babies, children and young adults.

Accompanist, Stuart Pass, raised an additional £700 when he decided to take part in the Butterwick beards campaign last November. The campaign encourages men to be sponsored to grow a beard. Stuart, 3rd from the right in the back row in the photo, was so pleased with the result he decided to keep his beard.

Also in the photo is Musical Director Margaret Pringle, on the left and Chairperson, Evie Moralee, on the right presenting the cheque from funds raised at the Christmas events to Butterwick House Fundraiser, Sarah Anderson.
