Public Voting Ties Butterwick with Sainsbury's in Bishop Auckland
Local residents and shoppers of Sainsbury's Bishop Auckland have taken to the vote to help Butterwick Hospice become a charity partner for the next 12 months!
Voting took place between the 4th and 25th May this year and Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland were the lucky winners, after nominations to support the local cause came flooding in from voters.
Store Manager, Tom Phillipson said; "Butterwick Hospice Care is such a worthy local cause and we're pleased and proud to be supporting it".
Barbara Fountain, Fundraiser for Butterwick Hospice in Bishop Auckland said; "We're really excited to be partnering with Sainsbury's Bishop Auckland over the next 12 months and would like to thank everyone in the community that voted for us".
There will be plenty of fundraising activities and events planned to take place in store over the coming year and we hope that the staff and shoppers of Sainsbury's Bishop Auckland will be as generous with their pennies as they were with their votes!
