Donate Time

Donating your time, knowledge or expertise to Butterwick is a valuable way to support the Hospice.

Can you make a commitment of a set number of hours each week? If you can do this most of the time that really helps. Many people like to make a commitment to support a particular service.

People volunteer their time and expertise for many different reasons. Some wish to give something back to their community, some wish to improve their CV or to gain work experience. Many people volunteer to meet new people through doing something worthwhile.

What ever you would like to do we would be very happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

We have over 750 volunteers currently working both within and in support of Butterwick Hospices. Many people have volunteered for Butterwick for several years. Everyone comes to Butterwick for their own reasons and the majority stay because they feel welcome and supported.

If you would like more information on volunteering such as the different roles you can do and current volunteer vacancies click this link to the volunteer information pages. Or you can contact our volunteering department co-ordinators at Stockton on 01642 607742 or Bishop Auckland on 01388 603003.

At fundraising events we often need volunteers to help the event run smoothly. If you would like to volunteer for a specific fundraising event please follow the links  on each event page or contact the fundraising department by calling the numbers listed on each page.

Thank you for your interest in Butterwick Hospice Care.
