Bea Congratulates Fantastic Support from Pupils

Butterwick Hospice mascot Bea, visited Stephenson Way Academy and Nursery School in Newton Aycliffe today to receive a cheque for £900.10 and to congratulate the children for helping raise the vital funds for their local hospice based in Bishop Auckland.

Children, staff and parents raised the money from various activities, including taking part in the Christmas Jumper day, buying merchandise and the Christmas Share a Card.

Dionne Kingsley, community fundraiser at the hospice, said: “The staff, children and parents have been absolutely amazing in their continued support and fundraising efforts for Butterwick Hospice.”
