Accredited Training, CPD and Special Interest Courses

Butterwick Hospice Care is accredited by Teesside University and the Hospice provides placements for University students. Each year student and qualified nurses and doctors, who have an interest in palliative care, train alongside our staff within the Hospice environment to learn about caring for life limited patients.

The Hospice also provides Continual Professional Development (CPD) courses in palliative care, complementary therapies and bereavement counselling.

These courses are provided through our social enterprise Seven Wellbeing Centre Limited. All profits made from the courses we run are put back into Butterwick Hospice Care to help fund free care to palliative patients and their families.
