Fundraising The fundraising departments are currently looking for outgoing individuals who are willing to spare some time to help them run public events. This would involve working on an as and when required basis with the option to work some and not others depending on your availability.
If you are interested in this important area of volunteering and can spare some time particularly at weekends please contact the fundraising departments for more information on the type of events we need help at. Butterwick Hospice Stockton
We are currently looking to fill the following vacancies at our Stockton adult hospice. If you are interested please contact Marjorie Hall on (01642) 615824 or fill out the on line application.
In-patient Unit has three shifts in operation, morning 8.30am - 12.30, afternoon 12.30pm - 4.30 and evening 4.30pm - 7.30. There is a vacancy for the morning shift on Monday, Tuesday and Sunday. Afternoon vacancy on Monday and evening shift on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If any of these shifts would suit you give us a call.
Reception also has three shifts as above and currently has vacancies on the afternoon shift on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Kitchen has a vacancy on Wednesday evening and Sunday from 10am - 2pm.
Laundry has vacancies on Wednesday and Thursday morning.
Domestic has vacancies on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning.
Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland
Drivers have a vacancy on Thursday morning and afternoon.
Laundry has a vacancy on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am - 2pm.
Crafts have a vacancy on Wednesday afternoon.
Day Care have a vacancy on Thursday afternoon.
Aromatherapy have a vacancy on Friday morning.
Butterwick Shops
Our high street shops play a vital part in our fundraising effort. They offer a very social setting with a variety of roles including customer service, stock preparation and shop presentation. We have 15 shops in operation and each have their own vacancies which are highlighted below. The shops operate 2 shift systems either mornings 9am - 1pm or afternoons 1pm to 5pm. If you would like more information about working in a Butterwick shop helping to raise funds please call the person named beside each shop.
Barnard Castle - call Judith Hutchings on (01388) 603003. This shop is in Star Yard near Morrisons and has vacancies on Monday and Wednesday morning, Thursday and Friday afternoon and all day Saturday.
Yarm - call Marjorie Hall on (01642) 615824. This shop is in Danby Wynd off the High Street and has vacancies on Monday and Saturday morning.
Stockton Book Shop - call Marjorie Hall on (01642) 615824. This shop is in the centre of Stockton High Street and has vacancies on most days except Saturday.
Middlesbrough - call Marjorie Hall on (01642) 615824. This shop is in Linthorpe Village in Middlesbrough and has vacancies from Monday to Saturday so there is lots of choice to suit your needs.

Bishop Auckland - call Judith Hutchins on (01388) 603003. This shop is in Newgate Street and is newly refurbished. There are vacancies on Wednesday and Saturday mornings and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.
We also have shops in Thornaby, Billingham, Norton and a second shop in Stockton which are currently fully staffed.
B~CAUSE This is the new designer wear store in Barker's Arcade, Northallerton. We are currently looking for ladies who understand high fashion who would like to help support our Children's Hospice by working as a volunteer in this lovely shop.
Recently opened and attracting a lot of interest this shop only sells designer wear and also operates as a dress agency which sells clothing on behalf of its customers. Butterwick Coffee Shops
Butterwick Hospice runs two very successful coffee shops within the law courts in Middlesbrough and Hartlepool. There are currently vacancies at the Middlesbrough branch which is open from 10am til 2pm Monday to Friday and needs volunteers on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
