Butterwick Great Escape 2008

Two of our great escapers

How Far Would You Go For Charity?

On Friday 30 May 2008, Butterwick Hospice Care are inviting teams of two to take part in a real adventure and exciting challenge. With just £5 each, participants are being asked to get as far away from Teesside as possible in just 24 hours. As much of their traveling arrangements can be done in advance, they must just ensure that no money changes hands.

Steph Wood, Butterwick Children’s Hospice Fundraiser said “this event is great fun and participants of previous years have blagged flights as far away as Rome, Majorca and Turkey. They can even make a short break of it, if they can manage with just a small hold-all! All we ask is that each person raises a minimum sponsorship of £125 each and telephones us exactly 24 hours after their “escape”. As long as they get evidence of their final destination, if their team gets the furthest, they’ll win a prize”.

All teams will be leaving from HM Prison Holme House, Stockton at 1600 hours on Friday 30 May, with kind permission of HM Prison Holme House.

Anyone wishing to take part should contact the Butterwick Fundraising Office for sponsorship forms and full escape pack on 01642 628930.
