At Butterwick Hospice Care we just love speaking! We just can’t get enough of it. And we’d be delighted to be given the opportunity to talk to your group.
We can visit and speak to your group about what we do for our patients and their family.
We also have a long history of joint fundraising ventures with various social groups. We have a number of interesting and enjoyable fundraising activities to suit all types of groups and category of members.
By fundraising with us, you can become involved with the fun of fundraising and gain the satisfaction of knowing that you have cared enough to help your local Hospice.
We are more than happy to help support any fundraising activities that you may choose to do in any way we can, and of course you don’t have to follow any of our ideas – do anything that you like!
Below we have shared just a few of the fundraising activities, in no particular order, that we often do with local social groups who have chosen to support the Butterwick.
One of the most common forms of fundraising we do with social groups involves the social group organizing fundraising events or activities on their own. These are typically sporting, musical or social events.
The groups focus on what they do best, what skills and interests they have in their team, which leads to brilliant results. We are, of course, available to help, guide and support this process. If you have any ideas and you would like to help, simply get in touch to discuss this matter with us. We’ll be happy to hear from you.
If you prefer something a little larger, a Garden Party is an ideal way of both enjoying yourself and raising funds. You can invite friends and family along to the party and have a peaceful afternoon during the summertime.
If you are more of an evening person, a Quiz Night is perhaps more for you. You can write the quiz yourself or we have a number available. You can do this at a local pub or social group, or at somebody’s home. Charge people to attend and have a fun time testing your knowledge.
If you would rather eat out, then the Butterwick Diners’ Club may interest you. The Diners’ Club is an exciting club open to all those who like food and eating out. You can either attend one of our organized events or organise an event with a local restaurant yourself - or even at your own home if you're good enough! Invite your friends and family along, meet new people and enjoy a nice meal, all in aid of a good cause.
A Coffee Morning is a very popular activity that simply involves organizing some drinks and perhaps cakes and selling them to raise funds. You can invite all the members and their friends. Once they are there, you can enjoy a relaxing morning in the company of new and old friends.
