We have a long and proud history of working closely with Golf Clubs on a variety of events and initiatives.
Our partners have found this to be a positive experience, with clubs' members enjoying many social activities in the process of raising much-needed funds for their local Hospice.
Below we have detailed just a few of the fundraising activities, in no particular order, that we often do with local Golf Clubs who have chosen to support us.
One of the easiest and most common ways to support Butterwick is by hosting a Golf Day with us. This typically takes two forms...
One option is members’ only day, giving members the opportunity to play while supporting a charity.
There are some fun variations on this theme; a fancy dress round, perhaps from a specific decade, or night golf.
Or maybe a ‘Better In My Day’ round, when people don the dress and more importantly use the playing equipment of a bygone era, giving a real twist to an ordinary round at the Club.
A second option is an advertised open day, which we will promote, giving a different marketing angle because of its link to the Hospice.
This has the advantage of bringing new players to the Club, who should leave with a positive impression meaning they will spread the word to their friends, and may consider joining themselves.
But the fun doesn’t have to be limited to the course, there is plenty of enjoyment with Butterwick to be had in the Club House and beyond.

We can organise social activities, either limited to members or opened to choice guests, in the Club House, helping to make the 19th Hole support a local charity.
This can be as simple as holding a raffle in the club house to hosting a social night, with anything up to a small ball being possible, at different premises if necessary.
With all the fundraising, we will support as much as possible in the organisation and administration of the events, using our knowledge and expertise to ensure the events are a great success for all involved.
By fundraising with Butterwick, you will be helping to fund the special care we give to local children and their families.
For fundraising activates, we are always very keen to work with the local press, with whom we enjoy very strong relationships, to publicise the activities.
This can help both in the pre-event recruitment process and the post-event reporting of the event.
Such media coverage is typically a mixture of traditional community advertising within your local area; direct mailing to target audiences; reports within local newspapers; and interviews and shout-outs on local radio stations.
