“We were unprepared for the major impact it had on building relationships within our team. Without hesitation I would recommend to any business that they get involved with Butterwick”

Director, E-Cat Partners
We have a long and proud history of working closely with a wide range of businesses from across the North East.
These businesses vary in size from sole traders to multi-million pound companies. Yet one element is common to all: we have worked in partnership to help deliver unique benefits to the company while they have helped to support their local community.
For example, we have helped companies market products and services to their target audience in new and distinct ways. This is normally achieved via sponsorship of Hospice events and campaigns.
There are many activities available for sponsorship, but all of them are attractive to the local media. And because of their association with the Hospice, this allows them to be marketed in a special way that money cannot buy.
This is especially true given our very strong links with the local press and our proven track record.
These strong links allow us to secure very different press coverage. The coverage is much more distinctive because of it’s human interest focus, and therefore much more likely to be read by your potential customers than a standard advertisement.
Examples of the types of events available for sponsorship include sporting events (e.g. the Great North Run or our Abseil Days); mass participation events (e.g. our Ladies Midnight Walk or our Christmas Santa Run); initiatives with schools and businesses (e.g. Butterwick Apprentice or Office Olympics) and many more that will allow you to stand out from the crowd.
Team Building

We work with a number of local businesses to help them develop their teams through unique team building activities.
These results are accomplished as a result of participation in a number of different events or initiatives.
All of these help to build relationships within teams and allow teams to achieve a greater sense of togetherness, cohesion and team spirit.
Many of these activities are unique to this area and they don’t have to cost the company a penny.
What’s more, they are very conductive to positive press coverage, which is another way to achieve a greater visibility within your local community.
These activities fall into three broad types. Firstly, we offer a range of sports and adventure team events, including our Everest Challenge (climb the equivalent height of Everest together as a team) or our very special “It’s a Knock Out” days (remember when…).
Secondly, we have initiatives for staff to participate in. This summer we have the Office Olympics and in May we launch the Butterwick Apprentice (we give your team £50 and challenge you to grow it by as much as you possibly can, using your team’s innovation and imagination, see www.urhired.org.uk).
Thirdly, if your prefer something a little more leisurely, we can organise a Golfing Day, a trip to a special event or you can attend one of our magnificent Corporate Balls, or alternatively we can organise bespoke corporate hospitality for you.
